There is more to Christianity and Islam than that. For example, giving charity to the poor, respecting your elders etc... All religions have some redeeming qualities. And Christmas, as the name indicates, comes from Christ. One does not need to believe in Christ to exchange gifts, but why should one call Christmas winterval and dismantle the holiday's name to placate secular extremists? I think this cooperation was good, and I agree with BJWD and the OP on this one. Anyway, these Muslims who are cooperating are obviously not traditionalists as it is not part of the Muslim belief to celebrate Christmas, but they venerate Jesus. |
