i have been offered a job in the Haman Country.I have done sone reasearch and have come up with the following information.

Haman county is located at the center of Gyeongnam Province in the southeastern part of Korea. It is adjacent to Changwon-si to the east, Masan-si to the south, Jinju-si to the west, and Euiryeong and Changnyeong-gun to the north. The Population of Haman County as of the end of 2005 was about 70,000. The total area is 417㎢ which is approximately 3.9% of the total land area of Gyeongnam province. Haman is an agricultural and industrial town and well-known the home of soccer, which is developing as the Mecca of Korean Women's Soccer with a systematic plan. Haman is a town of lively events, which is developing to the future of hope and dream with the sweat of 70,000 residents.

I am a Single guy who is travelling to Korea for the first time.My first priority was Seoul where there would be some social life.Has anyone worked here ? Is there any other Westerners or any chance of a social life?IM not sure what i am getting myself in for and have been given a day to decide.Also the 14 days holidays a year are much lowe then what is offered in most Middle East jobs or am i mistaken?

Don't despair.

Hanam is close, very close, to Masan/Changwon. There is social life available in Changwon. There is also shopping.

Retitle this thread, or start a new one, asking for information about Changwon.

Seriously, if you have any questions about the Jinju/Sacheon area, I'm fairly familiar with both. You'll also find a decent population of teachers in Jinju. Feel free to PM me.
