Hello all.
I'm doing a lesson plan on family relationships.
Most of the other family names have special words, like sister and brother are siblings, mother and father are parents.
But...is there a separate word for a boy counsin and a girl cousin?
And....is there a unisex word for uncles and aunts?

In my dialect of English cousins are either male or female. There is no separate term marking gender. Cousin covers both instances. There is also no general term collectively covering the kinship relationship mother/father's brother/sister that doesn't mark for gender: aunt/uncle. Interestingly, aunt/uncle and cousin aren't marked for affinity or consanguinity either.

But that's just my dialect. There might be others whose dialects provide a different inventory of lexemes and ethnosemantic distinctions.
