| I read a letter written by a student who has studied abroad in New Zealand. He said how much he liked chicken bacon. Do you have this in New Zealand or does he just not know the word for turkey? |

| From dim memory, I recall that Kiwi is a brand name of a company that sells bacon. (Perhaps this makes things clearer?) |

"Chicken bacon"? Are you sure it's not just pieces of chicken wrapped in bacon?
Look, put the kid in a headlock and tell him you'll close his windpipe if he doesn't spit out the correct term. Seriously, who's got time to chase down explanations for half the crap Koreans get wrong? |

| no, sad to say we haven't yet genetically altered an animal capable of producing "chicken bacon" the ultimate super meat. One day we will work out the dna for a "chickig" that being the day pigs truly will fly. God speed good scientists......god speed. |

We have turkey bacon in the US...for those who don't eat pork or are cutting back on fat but love the taste/social aspects of eating bacon.

Ahh, bacon, the great social lubricant. |
Yes, nothing like sizzle and scent of frying pork to make us all one. Especially in the Middle East. |

Like was said, Kiwi is a meat company, and chicken bacon is like turkey bacon.
In other news, robots determine that we ARE bacon
"Absolutely horrifying. Like cows, once robots taste blood, their hunger for human flesh can never be satiated.." |

Awesome, thanks!
Social aspect: when there's an OiBoy in the house who wants to make pancakes and eggs and bacon on a Saturday morning, I don't want to deny him the pleasure of frying cured meat for me. Actually, He tried "my" bacon and even eats it when I'm not there! |

Me too.
Your idea of a 'chickig' actually sounds more appetising than 'chicken bacon'.
And as Satori said, I can't handle that concept either.
What will they come up with next? |

It's just supposed to be a lower-fat, lower-sodium alternative to bacon.
I never bothered buying it, 'cos it's kinda pricey for what it is.
Think I tried it once, but it didn't really do it for me. |
