I just noticed some at my local ilovecookie store.

No longer in the military and never want to eat those nasty things again.

We got some donated to a group I was in once. It was fun to heat the food by adding water but everyone I've talked to in the military says the novelty wears off rather quickly.

For fun;
1. Open the heater packet and pour the powder into a 2 liter.... er, 1.5 liter bottle.
2. Add water.
3. Seal lid tightly on bottle.
4. Run.

When you get your technique down, try the above instructions with the small Tabasco bottle found in the MRE (warning: your run for life time will be dramstically decreased).
