Anyone on here use myspace ?

I opened an account myself a little while back.
Myspace is like, the 3rd most popular site on the net now I think.

What is it that people actually spend their time doing on myspace ?
I mean, once you've given your page a fancy design and updated your blog, what else is there ?

Yeah I wonder that, too. But if you check out a person's page some time, scroll down and look at the comments. There are a lot of people who just go around from page to page, adding comments. They saw the friend last night at a party, so they get on myspace to say 'I saw you last night!' or even you see stupid bs like 'Thanks for the add!' What the hell is that? Thanks for putting me on your friend's list? What is it, a contest for who has the most vaguely defined friendships?

Man, I found out last week that my cousin, who is notorious throughout the family for spamming everyone with absurd emails to the point that some of us actually created secret addresses to avoid her, has a myspace page so I had to invite her on the friends list. I logged into myspace the other day and had FIVE consecutive inane comments from her. Look at this picture she posted (after sending it to me in an email, too).

It's not that funny!

And then

Okay! The weekend is here, thanks!

The other comments are updates from her personal life, like where she is going, who she's going to go with.. I know what happens is she just sits around all day at work and annoys people on myspace.

Some of the youtube videos about myspace are pretty funny.

GAH! Sweet Zombie Jesus, Qinella!

Even North Korea warns people when they're about to drop bombs!

Anyway, MySpace sites are eye-bleeding to look at, and their contents make even a blog about the amusing thing your cat did that day seem like Shakespeare, so I'll be long cold in the ground before I'll accept them as being real website.

And hell, the ten million strippers on there never let you see their tiity-pics...

I've come to the conclusion that any hetrosexual man with a fancy myspace page has more than a little bit of 'gay' in him.

That is all.

One stupid guy I went to school with has 3 different myspace pages and he goes around asking people dumb questions, like "Who farted"? Then, he uses his other myspace page to answer, it was not me. Then, his third one, with a picture of him and his niece saying "It was not us". Also, you can only put 12 photos and 1 song at a time on there.

Seriously, am I the only one who thinks MySpace sucks hard? What is the attraction to it? Sites like that have been around for a decade or more.

It does suck. You create an ID, you add people, people add you, you all message each other saying "thanks for the add!" And that's about it. The message boards are filled with morons. The Korean community on myspace features the biggest collection of idiot Corean Pride types who have never been out of California where they were born.

the only thing myspace is good for is to get in touch with old friends, if you care to do that. i've been in touch with a few of my elementary school friends and i found out my cousin is gay. other than that, it's not much good and i only log in about once a week.

It sucks AND blows all at the same time.

Someone should revive that "Biggest MySpace Douchebag" thread.

You can put as many songs as you can find server space to host them. For example, I have three. For the photos, you can post as many as you want on your main page. Only the myspace album is limited to 12.

For those wondering why people want a myspace page.. I have been in contact with several people I haven't heard from since high school, and would have probably never seen again for the rest of my life. So, it's cool in that regard. Sure, my life would be just the same with or without these people, but I prefer it this way.

I'm not into those heavy graphics and downloaded songs when you view myspace pages.

I use it to keep in touch with my family and friends back home. They sign on...read a few crap blogs...leave messages....etc. It's a great way to keep in touch with those loved ones that are half way around the world.
