My intent with the help of Wikipedia, a trusted online reference (This particular wiki article will likely be deleted because its based on pure fiction, btw.), is to put to sleep the notion that fans can somehow cause a sleeping person to permanently expire if used in an enclosed space next to the sleeper's face. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death |

No, that's not true. I know I personally have died at least four times from sleeping with the fan on. Or maybe I just bribed a doctor to not reveal that I had committed suicide; hmm. Can't remember. Damn you, Hypoxia!

Fan death is real. A woman in my city died last summer that way. Apparently if the fan is on high and positioned such that the air passes perpendicular to the nostril and mouth, the high rate of flow will actually suck the air out the lungs of the victim. In an extreme case a few years ago, a child sleeping in a classroom with his head back actually imploded, showering the other students and teacher with, well, bits of himself. |

Do you honestly think the Korean media would believe it? They would just spin it into a finger-chopping, bee-covered, oh-the-evil-whiteys-want-to-pinch-Tokdo-from-us extravanganza complete with collective wailing and gnashing of teeth. |

Problem solved. Thanks to you, this article was brought to the attention of the Korean media last night. THey launched a campaign to tell everyone fan death is not real, and experts say soon everyone in the country will know the truth. Good work. |

That's funny -
I've had some kids talking about fan death. Yeah, that Korean Herald article about the 16 year old who died? She probably died from exhaustion. I don't see how long these kids go to school for. It's crazy. |

Were the teacher and other students inside of him when this happened? |

I know where you're going with that, and no, they weren't inside of him, they were nearby. You see, while the two boys and I just remembered, a girl too, imploded, the main force is inward, but there was a resultant cast off of human debris. During an implosion, there is usually some ejecta... |

Not on youtube? If anyone had by coincidence caught any of the four, not three, previous children imploding, I am sure it would have been all over the net. But, as it is such a rare occurence, it just hasn't happened yet. Give it time though... |
