Good, im not Lib but I would rather have a liberal majority than anything else. I can't wait to see the conservatives shown the door.

When greens could become a vocal (and more powerful) opposition, I will be a happy, HAPPY mofo.
Not necessarily in POWER, but I kinda like their idealism.

Idealism is usually awsome on paper but when it comes to implementing its usually a different story.

I live in Korea but I have lived on all three coasts of Canada (yes all three) and the Liberals best represent Canadian values as far as I can see. Unlike the US where the choice seems to be left or right, in Canada we have the right (PC) and the left (green, ndp, bloc) and then the centre party (Liberals) and thats why they consistantly succeed in politics.

Maybe I'm a hopelessly myopic American, but doesn't that maple leaf next to NDP look a tad too much like the shape of Iraq?

I've lived in several parts-- Alberta, BC, NF-- and toured almost everywhere, but haven't been to that third coast yet! But to me there really are no shared Canadian values. The Liberals seem to resonate with central Canadian values of, well, doing nice things for central Canada by legit or illegal means. The PCs always do well in the west where minimal and conservative governments are favored. Quebec does whatever is best for Quebec. Atlantic Canada always gave me the feeling that it would rather be left alone. The four cultures couldn't be more isolated.

To me a minority government is the best situation, whoever has more seats. I don't trust any of the parties fully to run a government majority, particularly in the parliamentary system we now have which elects a constitutional dictator for up to five years.

The Greens aren't a party of the left.
