Hi friends,
I have searched, but I didn't find them in this forum. So here to ask:
Do you know any Korean banks/bank branches work on Saturday?
I only know that banks work from Monday to Friday. I occasionally need to send money home but lunch time isn't enough time for going to the nearest bank from my office. So I just hope to hear that there are banks work on Saturday.
I would appreciate your help very much! |

You could try the Korean Exchange bank in Itaewon. I know it used to be open all day Saturdays. |

Don't know of any that are open on Saturday.
Just find it ironic that when the Korean government started to institute the five-day work week to fall in line with Western countries, the banks were one of the first to implement it. I 'm pretty sure that banks at home are still open for half a day on Saturday.
Perhaps if you have someone open an account at home you could do an account-to-account bank transfer from an ATM--not sure if this is possble, however. |

The banks were very stupid.
They did interpret a "five-day workweek" to mean strictly working Monday through Friday, because that is how they believed Americans worked.
They did not think of staggering employees's workweeks so that banks could in fact be open from Monday through Saturday, as most are in the U.S. |
