Hey guys,
My visa expires Feb 28, and I will start work at a new university on March 2nd. I will be out of korea early feb until I return late Feb to start my new job. I will get my new E-2 in Taiwan. If I leave korea without a release letter will I be able to start the new visa process and have it issued before Feb 28 next year? Or will immigration say I am not able to be issued, nor start the issuance process prior to Feb 28?
If I get a release letter how soon after do I have to leave?

No

If I get a release letter how soon after do I have to leave? You will be given an 'exit order' which gives you 14 days to leave from the time it is issued to you/dated.
