Rocky Balboa was Stallones best ever character. The guy can act when he gets the right role. This one will need a great script to keep it out of the merde though. |

He's still no Kurt Russell, though. What if Kurt Russell played Rocky? |

Apollo Creed would have been beaten in the first film, Adrian would have been kicked to the curb, Mickey wouldn't have died, Apollo wouldn't have been killed by Ivan Drago, Rocky V wouldn't have happened... |

I agree Rocky V was pretty bad. I'm going to see Rocky Balboa because I'm interested in how the story ends. It's going to be a tough comeback as a series after the fifth movie though. I'm crossing my fingers this one will be worth it. |

That trailer makes it look worth it at least. |

The series peaked with Rocky IV. Drago was the best "heal" IMO.
Rocky V sucked big floppy donkey ballz.
I'm curious to see this too, hopefully it'll open in Korea.
Stallone has been under-used in his later years. It's unfortuante that he got type-cast so much as the action hero type (altho he's made some entertaining films). I'd personally like to see him in some supporting or bit-part roles where he plays against the type. He was great as "The Dean" in Shade... which was an underrated movie. |

Quite right. Any idea when (or if) it will be playing around here?

I saw the first Rocky and was disgusted at the cheap, transparant manipulation. Should I expect more from this edition? |

Any guesses on the conclusion? I know it's pretty easy to find spoilers, but for those of us who would like to wait until seeing the film, what do you think will happen in Rocky's final bout?
A - He wins
B - He loses
C - He dies
My guess is B, if only because it makes the most sense and would tie up the series rather nicely. The last is first and all that.
My biggest worry is that Mason "The Line" Dixon won't be as memorable an opponent as Apollo, Lang, and Drago. Then again, from the trailer Stallone appears to -- smartly -- have made Dixon a good guy. I mean, he's not going to kill Pauly, right?
I'm officially stoked for this movie. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I wish Dave's biggest Rocky fan were still around to see it. |

I'm going with option B, if only because it seems the most plausible. As for Dixon killing Pauly? Probably not, but perhaps they'll find a way to link Mason to Adrian's demise. (I pitched that idea to Stallone, but he wasn't ready to take the Rocky franchise in such a direction. Pussy.) |

No way... Rocky gonna beat down Mason Dixon "Philly" style and go home and *beep* the cheerleaders. |
