my boyfriend recently moved in with me and my pet. living with your partner requires an adjustment, certainly. together, we've made it work. however, there is a problem: my boyfriend is alergic to cats. (moving to a foreign place, you learn so much about a person, huh?) he's tried to put up with my other roommate - ho joon - a friendly, playful cat i rescued in september. but, alas, we can't all co-habit together. the sneezing, itching, and rashes are getting worrisome.
i am seeking a loving, gentle owner for ho joon. he is used to living in small quarters and will make wonderful company. do you miss your pet at home? he'll be a perfect replacement. please contact me for more details. |

I'm sorry about your predicament kerose - that's a tough situation. I hope you find someone suitable - just make sure they're a responsible person who truly understands what's involved. The move will be hard on your kitty too. |

Does your cat have his shots? Do you have any allergy reactions to him? Does he spray? Where do you live? Does your cat bolt outside the front door the minute it's opened? Is he easy to catch in case he gets out? PM me!

Sure they do--the cheaper clay type and the clumping type. Everything you need for a cat can be bought in Korea. |

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure it is the cat he is allergic to?
Have you ruled out washing powder, your perfume, bugs in the house things like that?

keep the cat, get rid of the b/f.
the b/f can take care of himself, the cat can't. |

i have to agree... give the bf antihistamines. is it a serious allergy or just the sniffles? he could just wash his hands more frequently if it's just the sniffles. |

| I live with allergies and two cats. It probably wouldn't be so bad, but I can't stop myself from kissing them all the time. |

I would have said the same thing, except the OP just rescued the cat in September and probably wasn't looking to get an animal in the first place. If she has to re-home him, better to do it now than later.
But still, my sister's husband is very allergic to their two cats and they're making it work ... keeping the cats out of their room, installing a HEPA filter, maybe even washing the cats every once in a while? I'm not sure about that last part, actually ... but if you can't find a home for the cat, maybe an air filter would help? |

uhm... what's wrong w/ taking allergy medication?
I moved in w/ a guy and found out I was terribly allergic to his cats. So I took pills. I could hardly expect him to give up his babies for me. |
