Upon further examination, I have decided that their regular glazed are the only donuts they make that don't suck.

That is all.

Is this another instance where americans speak as if the whole world should know what the hell they are talking about?

I walked by the branch in Hongdea one afternoon and they were giving the glazed ones away for free. Tasted a lot like home.

Unfortunately, a donut once it enters my possession, only survives about 30 seconds ... so much for home.

Unfortunately, it's your job to keep up. Don't you watch Sex in the City?

Those sugar glazed ones are too sweet.
Even when they do give you one for free when you are standing in line, they are still too sweet. *puke*

The glazed are deadly, deadly good. I also like the chocolate covered ones filled with frosting cream or whatever. However, I do find a general lack of variety. I tend to mix it up a bit. One week hitting KK. The next week hitting Dunkin' Donuts. KK's coffee really, really bites.

I'm Canadian. I'd talk about Timmy's but there aren't any here. Gotta make due with what's available.

In Japan, they have a donut shop called Mr. Donut. I wish they were here. Their donuts are very good and not over the top in sweetness and oil (like Krispy Kreme's). Their coffee is botomless too. You buy one cup and sit there for hours drinking as much as you want.

Tim Hortons from Canada has the best tasting inexpensive coffee I have ever tasted. If only they would set up shop here, they would force all the Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kremes to close.

When I voluntered at the Kotesol conference and managed to pry myself away from the laminating machine for awhile I met one of the other conference volunters. She seemed to be an interesting girl who relayed to me the following:

The next day she had to go find some Krispy Kreme donut store in some place or another to pick up a largish order for her friends in Pohang. She then would have to hand carry the donuts back to Pohang on the plane.

Apparently these here krispy kreme donuts are somewhat popular in pohang.

You say "over the top in sweetness and oil" like it's a bad thing...

God, I love Tim Horton's. One day I might have to buy a franchise just so I can be in one all day. I can spend all day talking to the locals about hockey, politics, and fishing. Also, they've got the best coffee on the planet. Sorry Starbucks, but it's true.
