An English teacher in an adult hagwon I worked for got fired recently because he was caught drinking with his students in the classroom while watching a movie and eating pizza. Apparently this was a regular occurrence.

A straw poll if you will.

How many posters drink at their abode's alone? If you do, how regularly do you do so? How much would you typically consume on an evening in with only your tv/book/computer for company?

i only ask because i'm finding myself doing this with increasing regualrity. Maybe this has something to do with the increasingly chilly weather, my girlfriend training away for her new job, my apathy for the bar/club scene these days, or my impending spiral into alcoholism.

To answer my own questions, i'd say that I consume alcohol (only beer, i should add) approximately 2 times a week alone in my apartment. In regards to quantity usually a regular 1600ml pitcher to start before begrudgingly (sp!!) heading out for another couple of 500ml cans, perhaps dribking both, but most usually drinking one before retiring to bed.

Your statistic/thoughts eagerly anticipated.

LL MMH.

You make it sound like it's a bad thing!

I notice that it also eases any paranoia I have about hundreds of people staring at me everyday... at least when I'm being a drunken dumb@ss they have an excuse to gawk.

I drank a lot towards the end of my highschool days and for the following year after. Then I nearly quit all-together.

Korea put a quick stop to that. I drink way more here than I ever did back home. Although I never drink alone.

If the ganja here was a lot cheaper and easier to find, I would drink a hell of a lot less.

Before any group chatting classes, I like to chew on a couple of Vicodin and down them with a little vodka or a couple of cold cans of beer.

When I do this, I tend to go into class really loose that way and ready to talk about anything.

drinking is a social outlet for me, so I have no desire to drink alone at home.

But maybe some night I will try. Dim the lights, put on some soft music and have a romantic evening

Just like Steve Carrel in "The 40-year-old Virgin" going at himself with Lionel Richie playing in the background and the disco ball spinning overhead...it's all you babe1
