|
|
My school have recently embarked on building a website for the school (about time).
My Korean coworker printed off some websites of other schools to research what we need.
I have to confirm the name of the school's website he showed me the other day but I think it was CJY or CYI school in Mokdong.
On their website, they proudly state that they do NOT hire any foreign teachers. They use only Korean and Kyopo teachers, and they give 10 reasons for not hiring foreign (native) teachers on their site.
I do not read Korean but my coworker read them to me.
I will ask him for the site URL and post it in the next few days, but included in the 10 reasons were:
- many foreign teachers have aids.
- many foreign teachers are gay.
- they have no sense of duty or responsibilty
- they do not care for Korean children at all and just want to have fun.
- they mostly come from bad universities and have poor qualifications.
Some of these may be true for some teachers, but such statements are rather shocking to read or see.
I will source website and post link when I get a chance.

Quite the incendiary first-ever post. I'm sure many members will be crying.
But I do wonder why that hagwon -- the one in Mokdong whose name you're not sure of, but you'll be giving us the URL when you get a chance -- stops at simply not hiring foreigners who aren't Gyopos. If they were truly committed to halting the spread of AIDS to Korea, why not forbid any foreign passport-holder from teaching? No wait, forget that -- They should stop teaching English altogether. For Koreans who learn English are more likely to socialise with foreigners, who are more likely to have AIDS than Koreans. |

If they wanted to stop AIDS in Korea they would require all males to get HIV tests after returning from Bangkok and America. |

just more korean/gyopo teachers who despise/hate foreigners....
at least I can use it against them....
whenever I place an advertisement looking for a new foreign teacher -
A foreign native English teacher wanted to teach at ........
at least half the replies/applicants I get are Kyopo people... and I have to reject their applications.. Some of the Kyopos request an interview and this is how the interview goes....
Kyopo - Hi - I want to apply for the position as foreign teacher....
Me - I'm sorry. The school was seeking a foreign teacher.
Kyopo - But I am foreign. My mother is American and I grew up in the USA - I speak hardly any korea.
Me - actually, I am sorry. The school does not wish to employ you as
the students mothers - want a foreign teacher who looks like a foreigner - NOT a foreign teacher who looks like a korean.
Kyopo.. Oh - you are bad - this is racist.........
---------------------- NOW I can use this website to fix that problem....
NEW INTERVIEW....
Kyopo - Hi - I want to apply for the position as foreign teacher....
Me - OK sure. I will ask you 5 questions and if you can answer YES to at least 3 of the questions we will employ you as our new foreign teacher
Kyopo - Ok (BIG SMILE)
Me - Do you have aids?
Kyopo.. NO!
Me - are you gay?
Kyopo - NO!
Me - You really just want to have fun right - you don't really care for Korean children?
Kyopo - NO!
Me - Did you go to a bad university and have bad qualifications.?
Kyopo - NO!
Me - well, we might as well finish this interview here - I am sorry YOU DO NOT qualify as a foreign teacher.....
Kyopo.. Oh - you are bad - this is racist.........
yeah - I know - its complete trash - almost 99% of foreign teachers would also fail to get the job.... but it just shows how trashy the korean people making this website are...... |

They are only looking to make money. They are trying to spin the fact that they are too cheap to hire native speakers. They can get Korean Kyopo's for next to nothing. This is how the school can make extra money.
Good thing we aren't fruit picking...Chavez would have set them right. |

Your right Green Tea us Thai people are only to blame for HIV/AIDS. I hope that someday you come to Thailand. I will meet you at the airport. You don't have to buy a roundtrip ticket because you will never have to leave. I will take care of you permanently. You comments are narrow minded and sound as racist and ignorant as the Original posters' boss. |

How so? Everyone views Thailand as a 'sex country",
There is a larger percentage of people with AIDS. Why are you getting worked up about something that is basically the truth. Even if ithe truth is a bit warped. |

The USA has twice as many people with HIV/AIDS than Thailand. |

Be serious, everyone knows Thailand is Asia's hub for perverts. There is a huge AIDS problem in Thailand. Can you say the same about Korea or Japan? |

How about per capita? How many people with AIDS?
I think the better thing to say is that Thailand is famous for prostitution and that many prostitutes in Thailand have AIDS, which is why Korean ajosshis keep catching HIV and bringing it back.
For the record, I don't even know if that's true, but it sounds plausible.
