Dudes, I tried checking the internet for the answer to this Q. I'm not in K-land yet, I arrive soon, but I'm already trying to plan my holiday. So when IS Sollal?

If your school is nice they might give you the Friday off too. Probably not though if it's an average hagwon.

Strangely, when I googled Sollal I got a bunch of different dates, hence my plea for info here. Thanks, by the way.

So it falls on a weekend, eh? That kinda sucks, I hope my people ARE generous. I won't be working in a hagwon, I've scored a corporate gig so I hope they'll have more than just a long weekend.

Last time I was working in Korea for Sollal (2004), I scooped a whole nine days off! Woo hoo!

I'm not going to complain about Sollal, I'm just glad that this year we get holidays for Christmas and Lunar New Year! Christmas last year was little more than a normal weekend.

Hmm. I meant Solar New Year. I think the "Sol" in Sollal put me off when I wrote without thinking. Thanks for catching me out!
