You get to work 23 classes of 80 minutes per week (1840 minutes in the classroom) for the same money as the next hakwon guy working 1500.
You get to work 23 classes of 80 minutes as compared to the next guy in a public school who is only teaching 22 classes of 40 minutes.
"Ah," you say, "but public teachers have to be at school for 40 hours per week!"
With SLP you are IN THE CLASSROOM for 30:20 per week + all the extra little stuff that nobody pays attention to (like the little breaks between classes, prep time, meetings, etc). You are there for 40+ hours per week too.
Burnout city on a good day. Hakwon hell on a bad one.
Have a CLOSE look at the contract BEFORE you sign on the dotted line.
