Do you feel comfortable cleaning out septic tanks? How about performing surgery? |

고기.....딜리셔스.
Had some lovely steak (Korean beef) for dinner yesterday evening.
Had a funny conversation with my pathetically ignorant co-teacher recently.
Spin: Do Koreans eat 양고기?
pathetically ignorant co-teacher: it's not common.
Spin: In my country, roast lamb on a sunday afternoon is the height of excellence.
pathetically ignorant co-teacher: Lamb has a strange smell.
Spin: No it doesn't, you stupid t**t! Anyway, we use mint and rosemary and thyme with lamb.
pathetically ignorant co-teacher: Is that to get rid of the strange smell?
Spin: You're so stupid it truly defies belief. We use these things with lamb because it TASTES NICE, you dumb fookin 년. |
I tried to order lamb one time at VIPS and the waitress warned me about the flavor before she would let me get it. I was perplexed. She said most Koreans find the flavor too strong, and sometimes need to start out with an in-between flavor. Can't remember what she recommended, but I told her that Americans are superior beings, thus I can eat literally anything. |

| Sorry. Okay, I'd have to choose "Meat" then, given the limited poll options. Seriously, what happened to degrees? I'm sure there are many others like me who are a lot closer to "No meat" strict vegetarians than to "Meat" in all shapes and guises. I've gone from "normal"/standard/average when I came to Korea, where the main dish of every meal is meat, to having meatless meals most of the time and when I do have meat, it's usually small amounts of fish. Poll don't seem useful. |

That guy is wrong! |
Maybe it's the lingering glow of last night's drunkenness, but that is quite possibly the the quote of the year. |
Yeah, a "kd lang is butch" joke. I'm laughing like it's 1993. |
Now it's on. |
Its for the hardcore swishy vegan crowd |

I find it amusing vegetarians will go on and on how meat is unhealthy and horrible...yada yada yada. and what do most veggies that I know eat? Hyperprocessed food out of a box, some made to resemble meat. Yep, much healthier.
But I will admit to being veg for 10 yrs, the texture of meat was too strange. After a while I just got tired of asking "how is that prepared?" "can I have it w/o...." or bringing my own food. That, and it's hard to say no to a surf & turf party in NE on the beach.
The real question is - will your body decompose naturally when you die? or do you eat a lot of processed crap? |

I eat meat, and have done all my life. However my last three girlfriends have eaten none, fish only, or very little. So I have had mostly vegetarian meals at home for 12 years.
Sitting down now to a spag bog
