I'll be looking for a camp job from within Korea. Can you get a C-4 inside Korea or do you have to do a visa run? What should the tax rate be on a C-4? |

Ella.
Don't bump. Search. That's why nobody is responding. Search function is not broken, but admittedly, it's not great either. You must click on "search for all terms" if you want to find something relevant.
You could even check the faq forum; I believe there's a decent thread there about summer/winter camps.
And yes, you must do a visa run to change your visa status (ie, if right now you are on anything BUT a c-4, then you must do a visa run to change to c-4.) Taxes are same as everything else. Lots of stickies/threads about taxes too.
Good luck. |

I searched here and Google, didn't find a good answer to either question. I'm guessing you do have to make a visa run to acquire a C-4, just wanted to confirm that. One poster reported losing 27% to taxes on a C-4 but I don't know that's a legitimate deduction or school shenanigans. |

I asked my friend who was on a C-4 in summer. She said tax was about 22% but she got it all back once she had an Alien Reg. card. |

Anyone have a source as to whether or not 22% is a legitimate deduction? |
