i have heard it said by a few people that Samsung exports all its quality gear leaving inferior quality goods for the domestic k market. Is there any truth to this rumour?
the reason i ask is that i need to replace my camera, i live i jeju so cant easily make it to big seoul tech markets - a samsung store might be my best bet.
there are some previous posts saying samsung cameras are crap , these are a few years old - is it still the case ? (I am no 'jinju' , i dont need anything spectacular.) |

I always had problems with Samsung products. They always break down on me or completly die.
LG on the other hand I think is really good quality, never had a prob with their stuff. |

I live on Jeju-do too. I do the Seoul shopping weekend trip once a year.
But good deals can be found on Korean online auction sites. I bought a ethernet hub last week off of auction.co.kr. Kick-a*s deal.

I'm one of those that swears Korea exports the good stuff and keeps the stuff that failed QA for the domestic market. Koreans will slavishly buy it anyway. |

I have had completely the opposite experience, as have a couple of friends. I love Samsung monitors, but aren't a big fan of their RAM or HDDs. |
