Did you see he's coming out with his first new album (of pop) in 30 years? It'll be interesting to see what it turns out to be like. I don't know that I'd rush out to buy it without listening to some samples first.

He plays a bit of the songs in this interview.

It's time for Christmas music... WOOOHOOO!!!

So, I've had the iPod tuned to my Christmas playlist... with a heavey emphasis on Peter Brienholt's Noel.

Sufjan Stevens has just released a "Songs for Christmas" 5cd box set.

Might be a nice alternative to the normal gear played this time of year.

Christmas music, eh? John Prine's Christmas in Prison just played on my itunes. Actually a very sentimental Christmas waltz - one of the most romantic songs I know.

Do two brothers making electronic music in a studio classify as a band in this thread?
If so I might have some more additions.

I always thought of them as more of board than a band.

Yes, small bits in the last three minutes which are nice but not enough to tell yet if you'd want the album. Still, it was good to hear him again and to hear about the path he's taken. The idea the he was prevented from entering the US as a national security threat gives a sense of how insane the current administration has gotten. Thankfully, that's over (the ban, not the administration, alas).

They're not really bands, but I've been reliving my younger days and listening to loads of drum n bass DJ's sets courtesy of this fantastic site!

http://www.dnb-sets.de/

If you like your jungle with more than a hint of reggae and ragga, check out DJ Freeze's Ragga set, and Benny Page's studio mix. They are both off the hook...
