Well in waxing, I should have been more specific about the *ahem* area.
But as for waxing your arms, make sure you get a waxist who knows what they are doing as a bad waxing can leave your skin with large red bumps. |

| There hasn't been a thread (unless I've missed it/them) for quite some time discussing how revolting to all 5 senses women like you are, Natalia. However, you post regularly about how princessy and overrated Korean women are in yourr book. An inferiority complex, clearly. A forum for disgustingly ugly white chicks would be a good idea. You can all be bitter hags together and wallow at what few big richards filling your pipes you so desperately crave yet don't get in good old South Korea. |

Way to disprove her theory there, Axl. No wonder Slash left you.

| The fact that in 2006 men and women still feel there are topics they can`t discuss in each others company is a bit sad. I also don`t think there are enough women on here to make it lively. And in general I just think too many forums dilutes the vibe. The Korean part of daves is at the maximum divisions I think or it will lose steam. Can`t women talk about woman things within specific threads? |
satori, how are the Japanese forums these days? probably not as lively as Korea's i guess.
9you're more than welcome here b.t.w.) |
Haven't checked out the Japan forums, and I have no intention to. Im in Japan, and in denial. Thanks for welcoming me... |

there are a lot of q's about women's issues and such...
of course, there are also a lot of q's about sex, so arguably there should be a xxx forum, but i'm just wondering what the general feeling is. |
Given some of the mercurial female company on this site I'd feel very sorry for you, ilovebdt, ucfvgirl and Seoulsista if that came to pass. |

While I'm not really in support of a women's forum, it can be more than a little unpleasant posting on a site where every thread - even ones that start out about innocent topics like shopping for groceries - turns into a discussion of how fat, revolting, unattractive and stupid us Western women are. There's a real boys' club here.
You never see it working the other way....
Also, there seem to be a lot of health-related threads that pop up. That's not to do with not being able to discuss issues with everyone; more that SURELY the guys don't want - or need - to read those things..... |
Damn, I just read that topic about pregnancy on the general forum, and now I'm reading your post. Man, that pregnancy post completely drives your point (made above) home.
I hear ya, girl. I'm sick of being trashed. Maybe we really do need our own forum~
*edit* well, I just read through to page 2 after responding to Natalia's post on page 1. Sorry you're being stalked, Natalia. And Axl's post was yet another post to drive your point home. Unbelievable how vicious some of the male posters can be. Keep it up, Axl- soon this place will be a big circle jerk with no women to contribute whatsoever. |

And of course female posters like Alysia and Corporal never make a point of doing things like that, do they?
I'm not saying you're a biatch because I don't think you are, but like it or not, your sense of victimhood is irrelevant here. There are some female posters on Dave's I really like but even if there were no women I'd be perfectly happy if the women here I like were all men. In fact there was one who I thought was until I got an email from her with her name. Actually, at first I thought the OP was just 'a nice guy' when (s)he first started posting. In Korea, there are a few, mostly dumb, young, newbies who still feel a strong need for white women and will put on the dominant gorilla routine at Gecko's if that's what turns you on. However, the vast majority of us have no need for white women in our lives, and don't have to play up to PC-western double standards.
Most white women, however, still feel a strong need for white men, especially if they come here single. I know you're not like that but the vast majority are. Apart from the net there are exactly three white women in my life here in Korea and that'll be down to two by next week and one by the end of the year. With all the other white women in Korea, I don't go out of my way to be rude, but I have no reason to be nice if they're disagreeable because I really don't give a damn about what they or any of their friends think. Apart from the three white women I know, whom I like but am not really close to, there's neither a need nor point in paying any attention to what white women like or consider important or interesting, as opposed to K-girls where there sure is. This is what I think really frustrates female ex-pat society over here. They, unlike K-girls, have no control over the attitude of almost all male long-termers except perhaps a compliant bf if they're lucky enough to have one. Most of us guys might fall for the right white chick if she came along but are just as happy to stick to making fun of white women when we're bored. I'd be happy going out for a pint or six with Axl and telling everyone here I did so because I don't care if he's rude to white women and I don't care what white women or silly PC men think about him and me by association.
What I find funny about the idea of a 'women's forum' is that it (a) would contain the exact proportion of utter morons and sociopaths as this forum currently does and (b) as a political statement it would be pointless because most white guys here don't care. |

erm ..yes...how very enlightening of you, Y_B_S.
I believe the idea might be to have a forum where women could ask a few questions or have a discussion without the incredibly interesting and outstandingly useful off-topic posts that seem to crop up in the middle of those said threads.
You feel that you can live without white women in your life? I am most pleased for you. Knowing oneself and being true to who you are is so very important for one's mental and emotional well being.
That said...I for one don't care a whit about your preferences in women. Your preferences really hold no weight with whether or not there should be a women's forum and your diatribe makes you seem childish and petulant. Tell me ducks, were the nasty white girlies mean to you at school? If that's the case - get over it luvvy.
~~~
I happen to agree with CrazyLemonGirl. There are a multitude of topics that I don't really feel like discussing around men. Where to find a good OBGYN for example. Given the some posters need to jump on the -nasty-useless-western-woman bandwagon at every turn, I cannot imagine posting asking for help about a potentially from other female posters. The women that have lived in Korea are a valuable resource for women just arrived in or considering taking a job in Korea. A forum where women could go to look for some answers or talk to other women would be a nice and useful thing. However, I don't see how to keep trolls and socks and juvenile man-babies out of the forum. What is the point of asking about a local cure for thrush if all you are going to get in response is the irrelevant "Your c*** is itchy! I'll bet you are fat and whiny." :roll |
However, the idea may have merit.
As for the "boys club" comment and the "never working the other way" comment made by Natalia...you gotta be kidding!
You sound like a real catch. I'm sure all the white women are devastated that you're not interested.
In case you hadn't noticed, this thread isn't about you or your opinion of women in general.
To address the OP's question, I think a women's forum would be a great idea. There are some issues that I would be more comfortable discussing with women only, especially certain health issues. It's not that I really mind men participating. Some of the men might have something useful to contribute, such as the location of a good OBGYN that their wife/girlfriend uses. However, I think that there are too many men here with childish mentalities that can't handle serious discussions on women's topics and think that insulting people and making crude jokes makes them look superior. If the discussion could remain mature that would be great. However, I don't think that's possible given the nature of the questions women might need to ask each other and the number of people that would post irrelevant and insulting responses. If there is a way to have a women's forum, I'm all for it. |
