It is shocking to imagine, but today in India, a 3 yr old boy
became a meal for a herd of pigs.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/6195860.stm

The irony is that his family, at the time, was having lunch
inside of their house, while the boy was being eaten outside.

Fun fact: There are more wild pigs in Australia than people.

That would haunt me for the rest of my life. Just the knowledge that my son died in such a horrible way. This one's about as bad as the story of the mother that microwaved her child. CRAZY!!!

Last week, an Indian kid up in British Columbia was eaten/attacked by stray dogs. The kid was about 5 years old.

Apparantly there are packs of essentially wild dogs on the Indian reserves. They've been known to attack and kill kids.

Natural animal instincts convince you there is no God?

re: the kid on the Native reserve...
I've had some friends who taught up on a number of Indian reserves and they say, essentially what you wrote: If you see a pack of dogs running around, you get your gun or you get the F*** outta there; preferably the latter.
EVERYONE on reserves knows this but the natives want to keep them.

Yeah, and where I come from, the National Guard is called the "reserves" and where the Native Americans live is called the "reservation."

And EVERYONE knows the difference between the two, even when they're being chased by a pack of wild animals.

I'm guessing you ain't from Canada then; where the wild dogs story took place?

Strange quote though:
Quote:
"It's not like there are dogs running around in packs and people are cowering in their homes,"
I don't think anyone would have, necessarily thought that...though from my friends' experiences, that is EXACTLY what happens on other reserves..... maybe this one is different.

All in good fun. I think they were just taking pity on me because I couldn't come up with an even half decent riposte. I'll have my vengeance the next time there's a thread about an NZ sheep getting its head stuck in a fence.

Sorry, that happened in Alberta, not BC.

Earlier this year, 2 Kids on an Indian reserve were attacked and killed in Manitoba by a pack of wild dogs.

All of those dogs need to be shot.

So like you believe that for pigs to eat children is a God-given instinct Shocked

I certainly don't want to believe in that kind of God!

Altho' what I was referring to was more that I can't believe that an all powerful all knowing God would stand by and just allow a three year old child to be eaten by pigs.

Imperfect an all though humans are there are very few who not try to intervene and save the child if they could.

Big fella...
Don't look at the natural world through those eyes.

EVERYTHING is EITHER predator or prey.

Deal.
