Is anyone working at Berlitz? How are their contracts and working conditions now? Do they still hire part-time instructors? Any new news about Berlitz would be greatly appreciated.

Berltiz has a less than stellar reputation in Korea.

I knew someone who worked at Berlitz in Japan. The Berlitz methodology/brainwashing is really stifling and I would be put off working at Berlitz. I assume they apply this methodology to all their branches globally. It consists of endless repetition and substitution drills from an individual word into sentences. Even though it might sound attractive that you are working with adults over children, think carefully about whether you could follow the Berlitz method over a prolonged period.

The best thing you can do with Berlitz, if they make you a job offer, turn them down explaining you've read really horrible things about them on the net and every other hagwon in Korea offers a better deal. It's the only way to get them to change.

Berlitz Japan is a reprehensible company in every way. Ive been told theyre worse in Korea. All the managers in the Kansai area of Japan (Osaka) have held their positions a LONG time and earn FAT paychecks. They're all on powertrips like you wouldnt believe and they hire and then fire with immediate notice. Berlitz is basically a glorified hagwan/eikaiwa and most instructors become brainwashed about Berlitz' greatness and this tends to rub off on them...
