You may or may not know from previous threads I've started about Korean TV Ads, but I just can't stand a lot of them. Sometimes, like Frank booth's reaction to warm beer in 'Blue velvet' - they make me want to f***ing puke.

Bizzarly though I have now become obssessed and curious about them. Shocked

So I'd like to ask - could someone who understands Korean translate what they are saying in the following tv commercials please...?

The Leh leh lehmonaduh one.

The one where the girl sits on the washing maching and does that funny sign over her head and says 'manze, manze...'

The Lotteria Rice Burger one.

Huge piles of thanks in advance to anyone that bothers Cool

Stay cool.

The leh leh lemunade i believe is lemonade, the one with the chich a dee on the washing machine is washing powder. Can't help on the others and could be wrong about my two stabs in the dark.

Turn it into a lesson for your students.
Get them to translate the ads you want. I saw a demo lesson last year where the teachers got students to act out the Korean ads, but in English. A good idea.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't people just respond to the ad in the way requested. If I wanted to do a class on it (which as you may guess - I DON'T!) I would have thought of that myself.

Please someone, translate the ads - full words / lyrics.

No other replies please. Save your finger tips. Talk to another human being instead or reply to another post if you HAVE TO....

they use the word 상큼 a lot which I can't really get a literal translation for, but it roughly means "fresh" or "refreshing" or something to that extent.

man i have too much time on my hands Rolling Eyes

geez louise... ekuboko was just trying to offer some helpful advice. i'm not sure that biting his/her head off was warranted.
and as someone who is foaming at the mouth on an internet discussion forum and obsessing over translations of lemonade and washing powder advertisements, you are about the last person in the world who should be advising other people to seek human interaction.

No, you get me all wrong. I'm being sarcastic about being obsessed. I have lots of friends. It's irony you see... oh let's not start...

No I get p'd off when people who have nothing better to do will respond with any load of irrelevant cr@p to any post they can lay their hands on.

It's all to do with ego satisfaction you see. You see...?

I mean, just read the post first. See if your input would be useful in the context the thread was posted. Then post or not post accordingly, regardless whether or not your ego is twitching uncontrallably, urging you to vent forth your valuable insights....

I just make myself look worse now don't I...? Laughing

Oh well, no classes today.

Migooknom. AWESOME! Thanks a lot pal. I find understanding the beast (the add) may be a way of coming to terms with it... I think this will help.

Anyone got the translations for the washing machine and the Rice burger ones...???? Cool

Really? Is that straight up? It's that simplistic...? Surely not... Man I though it would be less boring than that...

Cheers for the effort!!!! Cool

fuxing kyopo perks. I always hated how they were treated better than me. In bars, at least. Nice translation, tho.
