Are you as indifferent towards xmas as me? Perhaps you are, but fear not. There may be some hope left for us.
It comes in the form of one Sufjan Stevens and his songs for Christmas.

If you know the music of this man, you know to expect the banjo, ukulele, guitar, xylophone, bells, horns, lovely vocals, and a bit of electric guitar.

I generally detest xmas carols and the "artists" who cash in on the xmas cd sales. This is different, well it is to me as i wouldn't be plugging an xmas album (or 5, this comes as 5 discs, or 5 files if downloaded) if it wasn't any good. Get it if you enjoy xmas, or if you want to listen to some sweet xmas tunes.

BTW, what are some other class xmas albums out there?[img][/img]

My favorite Christmas song is John Prine's Christmas in Prison. Prine describes it as a song about a guy who's in prison and lost his girlfriend, adding that because he's sentimental, he set it at Christmas. It's actually a lovely waltz and very romantic.

Sufjan Stevens' Christmas... ooh, I'm all tingly!
I like my Xmas music jazzy, I'd recommend An Oscar Peterson Xmas and Chet Baker's Silent Nights.
