I've been getting into podcasts lately. Only tried out a few.

Ricky Gervais show. I got episodes 1-12 and then The Podfather Halloween and Thanksgiving. (are there more?)

NPR. They have a selection of various programs on podcast.

The Skeptic's Guide to the Unvierse. Saw someone mention it on here. Haven't listened to it yet, though.

Any recommendations? Preferably funny or informative ones.

A podcast is a taped radio show isn't it?

Then I'd recommend The Vinyl Cafe, if wry humour and lighthearted storytelling interests you.

Do you know where to get them? I checked the web site and it says this:

We have received hundreds of emails asking whether the Vinyl Cafe will ever be available as a podcast. The short answer to this question is "we hope so". CBC Radio already has many podcasts available as part of its currrent podcasting trial.

Everything on NPR and PRI. Check out the Alt.NPR shows. Also some of the shows on 1079thelink.com. I used to live in Charlotte.

Total geek stuff for me.

TWiT: This Week in Tech

Leo Laporte's Weekend Radio Show

Engadget, though I find their West Coast accent and pretension annoying, I do love my gadget news.

Security Now: Computer security issue related news

Yes, total geekery. Good thing I've got a twelve inch penis to satisfy self-confidence issues. (I don't think Dillenger has any more use for it.)

Ricky Gervais has done 3 seasons of podcasts. Season 1 was 12 installments. Seasons 2 and 3 were 6 a piece. Sounds like you need to get yourself seasons 2 and 3!! You won't regret it, trust me. Both are available on itunes or i guess they are available for free somewhere on the internet.

All the Ricky Gervais stuff. (try searching for the Ricky Gervais mega audio pack on Torrentspy or Demonoid, whatever. You can hear the 3 hours of radio that Karl 'Pilkey' Pilkington did with funny Brit comedian Russell Brand).

I just download any documentary type stuff from Demonoid. There's tons of great radio on there.

Almost choked with laughter on the subway listening to Ricki Gervais of course, also Scott Mills (BBC Radio One DJ), especially a regular part of his act called 'flirt divert' chech it out.

Oh, Moyles (BBC Radio One) is good too.

Good recommendations, thanks y'all.

I found a cool one earlier. It's called Bands Under the Rader (BUTR) and features 120 minutes of music that is mostly independent, small label, or otherwise not mainstream. I like it so far.
