Just wondering how many people who watch Heroes also like (love, would marry, etc.) X-Men. While we were watching tonight my friends and I discussed the link between the two. The thing is, my friends aren't too into X-Men, but they love Heroes. I am infactuated with X-Men and I'm also involved with the show (which says a lot because outside the Simpsons, Daily and Colbert, I can give a rat's arse about TV).

Don't you think Heroes could conceivably be a prelude to X-Men, like when the Mutants are just coming about? I'm not saying they're actually linked in the real world. Just for fun.

I think this series is fun. Come on! I hate reality TV, I hate formulaic sit-coms and dramas. At least this one has super powers. And Hiro! YIPEE! I MADE IT!!

Fun!

I don't know, the show has been a big letdown for me so far. The premise is cool, but there is no action. They have all these cool powers and don't do jack siht. Maybe each person will use their power for two seconds each episode. The rest is just melodramatic acting. Booooring. They need to amp it up.

^ I disagree. There are enough mindless american action shows on TV. I like that Heroes actually focuses on the charactes instead of some stupid CGI effects bonanza. There was (maybe still is) a similar show called 'Mutant X' that was all about action, and it really sucked hard.

I just saw the "Fall Finale"...I think Heroes is great...It's what Lost could've been if it didn't spend 80% of the show on flashbacks....

Hopefully, it'll be more like 24, and it won't the storylines out, and the bomb situation will be settled in the spring...

Silar...what a great bad guy...and the Haitian...how can you not like him now?

On another note, we've decided that Claire's father's talent is blocking other people's abilities. The Haitian can wipe memories, but Claire's father told Silar that he was the first one w/multiple powers - which means the Haitian can't block AND wipe minds. Plus, Claire's father has always been around when people's powers were blocked.

Petrelli has multiple powers too, only when others are around though.

Yea, you're right Q. The show's done a phenomenal job at building the storyline and the characters but they have to pick it up. They've got to start picking up the pace and getting some action going.

I kind of like how they are developing it slowly.

Keep in mind that a lot of these people only just discovered their "powers" and don't have full control over them - or realized their full potential - yet. I think the show is developing nicely.

You would need bittorrent and probably go to torrentspy to download an episode. However, www.nbc.com says you can stream the episodes and catch up (they so desperately want you to catch up so you can start watching the commercials in the new year!) I haven't tried it for this show so I don't know if it works/quality.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe that's why Silar wasn't able to get out while the father was with him in his cell. But then we only saw the Haitian on the flashback episode when the girl with the power of pursuasion was brought in (remember, in the car when she was pulled over?). How was he able to get her to the father? But I still think you're right.

As for it not moving fast enough, I see your point, but I think its nice having a sci-fi drama like this. I love superhero movies and want the action fast and furious there. But I don't mind tuning in each week to see this story develop. As long as they keep it going (ie they need to get to the NYC bomb in the spring).

Unlike Lost where the writers started answering ridiculous questions with even more ridiculous questions and nothing ever gets done. But I haven't been watching this season yet so please do not comment on that.
