| I've been here three years, but this will be the first time I am continuing at the same school. I've heard that the visa renewal process is pretty straight forward, no trip to Osaka this time. Can someone please advise what the process entails, if I need a fresh set of transcripts or anything else I need to know. Thanks in advance. |

If you are just extending at your same school you simply need to take your new contract, your bosses registration, your passport, your ARC and 30k won to the immigration office.
Fill in an application form and wait your turn. It takes about 15 minutes after you get to the counter to complete the process.
You can do it anytime during the final month on your ARC. You can extend for any period up to 1 year.
You can repeat this process every year for as long as you want to stay at your current employer. |
