I bought a DVD player from Shawner, the same guy who killed himself a few months ago. I met another guy in real life a few years ago and later saw a few of his posts on Dave's, but he doesn't seem to be around anymore. I don't believe I've met any of the rest of you.

Through the daves get togethers I met some great people. Itaewonguy, Eamo, Gang ah Gee, Denz, Bobster, Harpo, Hojucandy...

I haven't been to any of the get-togethers, but I have bumped into people randomly whilst drunk. They include Spinoza, Kermo, Qinella and Billbrobby. There's also a few regular posters who live in my town that I see fairly regularly.

I've met two girls off Dave's and one dude, and slept with none of them. None of them were particularly active posters.

I think it's about time for another get-together. The Big Rock Brewery, anyone?

I've never gone to any of the get-togethers because every time one comes up I have a recurring nightmare of standing in a bar minding my own business and Otis (to use a generally despised poster as an example) walks up and says, "Hi". WTF do I do?

Do I say, "My, but I admire the way you get on your hobby horse and tear into people for no good reason"?

Or could I say, "How do you manage to be so negative about everything without slitting your own throat. I admire that so much"?

The only other thing I can think of to say is, "When you are sitting there in your shoe box apt, all hot and sweaty under that blanket, how do you manage to read the screen when you are typing one-handed? Does the *** dripping down the screen account for your obtuseness?"

There are quite a number of posters who I think would be fun to meet, but how the heck do you deal with the dregs of humanity that post here and also might show up at a gathering?
