Wow, after all the hassle, I hope you buy yourself something nice with the money.
Seriously though...sounds like a bit of a pickle. I guess the thing to do is go talk to the secretary and the director, at the same time, and try to figure out who's lying. Definitely you'll want to do a full cavity search on both of them. I bet it was the director! Snaky pukes, all.
Seriously seriously, though; maybe look aound on the secretary's desk--could it be the envelope got misplaced in the shuffle? |

| I've had kids offer me tuition fee envelopes. I politely decline to accept them. Since you are having trouble with your director already, however, this does sound like a ruse. Could be bad, but really, the guy is short on evidence. Doesn't mean he won't instigate an inquisition though. |

At my first hagwon, the odd kiddy or two used to give me their money envelopes. I was reluctant to take them, but when I did I would give them directly to a Korean teacher who would know who to give the envelpe too. My school was quite small so we didn't have a secretary to confuse things.
Just explain what you did and if he doesn't believe you and bearing in mind all the other crap you are having to put up with I would think about finding a new place to work.
