I guess the fear is that Bittorrent will screw it up because they have a deal with Warner Brothers?
I just finished hyping uTorrent in another thread, but I'll drop it like a stone if it keeps phoning home and ratting me out the MPAA. Who wouldn't?
I was one of the first users of Napster. When that went offline, I switched to something else. And then something else. And now something else. Switching doesn't bother me.
Besides, the Bittotent protocol is open source, no? If not, it's open enough for programmers like the uTorrent guys to make their own client. Someone else will do the same, if need be. |
