If you're happy with how Azureus works, then I wouldn't recommend switching. However, for me, Azureus bogged my system down (and I have a good enough computer so that shouldn't be happening.) Hence, I switched to utorrent and found it to slow my system down much less.

This is probably the best way to sum things up nicely.

Your mileage may vary.....

It all depends how many people you are downloading from.

Apart from a few minor tweaks there really isn't much any BT client can do to increase speeds. In saying that, with my new Hanafos internet connection, I was able to get a peak of 8mbps last night. From a private tracker of course (uknova.com). I almost wet myself!! In fact, my computer had disk overload problems so uTorrent cut the speed to an average of 4mbps for the next couple of hours until everything was downloaded.

So, in Korea, the best performance I've ever seen is with Hanafos internet, private trackers and uTorrent.

Yeah. But if your computer has the balls for it there's no problem.

u torrent rocks..

1. less resources
2. faster download and upload for me at least.
3. connect easier to packet shaping ip's by making use of encryption.

Alright. Even though my computer is a year and a half old (or thereabouts) you're similar to me in terms of juice.

- Asus K8N-DL motherboard (dual socket)
- 2 X AMD Opteron64 3000 (processor 242) -- one in each socket
- 2 gigs corsair RAM
- 120GB hdd X 2 (raid 0)
200GB hdd X 2 (raid 0)
80GB hdd
120GB hdd
80GB hdd in external case.
- DVD RW +-, CD/RW combo
- Radeon RX600 Pro-128PCIE video card
- monitors: 2 X 19" LCD

You have a video card made for games but I have one made for decent performance with two monitors -- don't know if those can be compared. And you have a duocore whereas when I got this they didn't exist so I got two processors instead.

Been out on a public tracker today getting the latest episode of Survivor. There seems to be disproportionate amount of Bitcomet clients today. Looks like there has been a strong reaction to the takeover of uTorrent by BitTorrent Inc. Wonder if it'll bounce back like it did after utorrent signed a six month agreement with PeerFactor, a subsidiary of an anti-piracy group RetSpan, to develop new distribution software.

No private tracker will allow bitcomet.. of course public tracker users like it. It is a cheating client. It sends false information to try to get more data faster, etc.
