he was on the subway, line 5. i looked over and laughed, then some dude got up and gave him a hug. then another.

i was always under the impression that young korean dudes don't do crazy stuff in public, but i was pleasantly surprised tonight.

after all the crap stories you hear about rude, racist, indifferent, ill-tempered or just plain stupid people in this country, it was good to see something fresh, new and just plain nice.

Those lame campaigns have been happening all over the country. Just had one in Mokpo and one in Suncheon (down south). But, hey, if you want to meet people with facial hair and love handles . . .

lame? how could free (consensual) hugs from strangers in seoul be lame? i think it's impossible to prove the lameness scientifically.

Look up Daegu on youtube. There was a man and woman that did it, no one came up and gave them a hug in the whole clip. Sad

If it's the same one that was in Insadong a couple of weeks ago, she was hot enough for me not to hug her on the grounds that I'd feel like I was taking advantage of her.

There was a penguin hugging people in front of Paris Baguette today.

I'm assuming he was getting paid to do it though.
