|
|
I'm going to NZ for christmas and I will be arriving back here at 9.40pm on the 1st. I live in JeonJu and no buses will be running to Jeonju from the airport at that time. That would be fine for me except that I will be starting work the next morning at 10am and I need to somehow get back in time.
I've been thinking up some ideas, such as bus to Daejon then catch a bus or train to JeonJu the next morning.
Does anyone out there have any ideas?? this is really stressing me out!!
Does anyone know of websites with bus timetables of daejon or any near by city....gargh! I don't want this to spoil my holiday. |

According to the bus timetable I have* the last buses depart the airport for Jeonju/Iksan at 10:30 pim. Same for Daejeon.
You can double check the departure times on the Incheon Airport webite.
* which is a photo I took of the actual timetable at Incheon Airport on Aug 31st. |

Is there anyway you could post that pic? or email it to me? I checked the website and it says this:
Bus type Limousine (Deluxe)
Interval 30~60
Travelling Time 240 min
First
Bus Airport 02:30
Core Hotel 06:00
Last
Bus Airport 19:00
Core Hotel 22:30
I assumed this means the last bus leaving the Core hotel (in Jeonju) is at 10.30pm.
BTW- thanks for the reply, it's much appreciated. |

| I'd look into getting an early train from Seoul Stn and staying near there the night in a cheap motel. |

Bus Airport = Bus leaves Core Hotel for the Airport
Core Hotel = Bus leaves the airport for Core Hotel
I know cause I had an early flight out a few months ago and thought the first bus didn't leave till 6 but then I called them and they explained it. |

Thanks for your help guys!
I called the info line today and they told me that the first bus leaves the core hotel at 2.30 am and the last bus from the airport leaves at 10.30pm so I'm all sorted.
I just thought I'd let you guys know just incase anyone else is a little confused by the info on the websites. |

I would make a contingency plan in case you are delayed. Also you have to go through immigration and collect luggage etc.. you may NOT be able to get to the bus by 10.30 (will you be getting your ticket before hand or on the day?).
Incheon Airport, as you know, is pretty big and it might take you 20 mins to get from your plane to immigration control, another 10 or 20 for your luggage, then depending on where your bus leaves.. you may have to walk another 5 minute or so to reach the bus.
I normally allow at least an hour between landing and getting on the bus because normally that's how long it takes. |

what web site did you check?
i may be in a similar situation but I'm going the other way... I need to get from Wonju to ICN to catch a flight at 11 am and the earliest bus seems to leave here at 6 am. Problem is, I'm travelling with a dog which means that I will probably be there by 9 am, leaving me only 2 hours to catch my flight. During xmas time and with a dog, this may be cutting it a little tight
I was thinking of hiring a taxi or something which my director told me should be about 150K won but that's pretty pricey and I'd like to avoid that. Any other ideas out there? |

yeah, that's the site I checked out, thanks for the link though!
I thought of that but then I also have a dog and from my understanding, most yagwons/hotels don't welcome dogs. Plus, I don't get off work until 9 pm the night before and the last bus leaves at 6 pm. Anyone have any other ideas? |

the one airport bus that goes to Bucheon goes to Songnae Station. There are none that go to Bucheon Station, and I doubt one goes to Sosa, but I could be wrong.
If you click on the link a poster provided above, you can find the info on the bus that goes to Songnae (route 302). |
