Where do you find the Residence Certificate and Application for Tax Exemption forms?
I looked at the IRS web site. The residence certificate I found was one you get for a fee and AFTER you have worked the year.
The public school contract says you have to provide them with these two items to claim the exemption. |

You need to download and print Tax From 8802 from the irs.gov website. Fill it out, mail it to the U.S. and you will receive a form in a couple of months. After that, contact your school about what to do with it. You don't have to wait a year to get that form.
As far as a resdence certificate, I have no idea what your school is talking about. The form you get in the mail after mailing in form 8802 will state you are a legal resident of the U.S. for tax purposes. That must be what they are talking about. |
