|
|
Hi,
I am a native speaker from the United States and am currently teaching in Ecuador where I live with my Ecuadorian husband. I have been told that if I get a job in South Korea, I can bring my husband on a spouse visa, but he cant work. Are there any opportunities for near-native speakers in Korea or perhaps Spanish or math teachers not from the US, Canada, UK, or other English-speaking countries?
Thanks,
Natalie |

Yes. He can become an industrial trainee at 350k won per month. He will have to learn Korean to work in a factory for 12 hours per day and live in the dorms.
In reality there is NO legal work he can do. |

There isn't the level of demand for Spanish as there is for English native speakers, but there is some. It will take some effort, but contact universities that teach Spanish and ask about conversation classes and companies that trade with Spanish-speaking countries and inquire about proofreading. Another place to start asking questions--embassies. They may have the names of schools and companies who might have programs. (Chile has a FTA with Korea.)
Good luck. |

Does your husband have a US passport? Does he have a degree from a US university?
If so, they will hire him whether he is native or not. |

OP, You might want to change your username. You'll start getting aton of spam in your email if you keep the one you have.
I hope you an figure somethin out ofr your husband. There are a veryl imited number of Spanish teaching positions here. Is his English really good? He might be able to teach at an International school, if he has a certificate. |
