So care to share you xmas lesson ideas?
I'm probably just going to do some songs and movies.
A bit of Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' and Tim Burton's 'Nightmare Before Christmas'.
No nativity stuff unless I can incorporate robots at Jesus' birth.

Gold, Frankincense and Megatron.

I teach at a public middle school so I'm not too sure what kind of xmas classroom activities would work well (making cards, angels etc.)

Does anyone know where I can download some good xmas flash cards?

Keep hitting the past pages link until you get to December 2005 posts and if you don't find anything keep going to December 2004.

http://bogglesworldesl.com/christmas_worksheets.htm

Some good stuff here. Albeit, many of the activities are aimed at a younger audience but I'm sure you can find some things to keep your middle schoolers happy in there.

I like having Christmas lessons as a very unstructured class. Meaning the objective is for them to be somehow immersed in English materials and their is no specific target language structure/vocab. Just provide a lot of fun and if possible authentic English activiites. Put on carols, sing, watch X-mas movies (even the Grinch who stole X-mas will do - easily available on bit torrent and I have loaded a copy on goggle video too), make decorations, make cards for parents, friends. Give gifts (give them a little gift box picture - they draw the gift on the back and then give in class to friends). So much you can do.

Hit the Santa on my site for powerpoints, x-mas cards, jeopardy and carols / karaoke. Also have a cool 20 min x-mas series about 2 girls in London on the video section. Very appropriate for middle school/high school.

get some construction paper and glitter glue

and make those snowflakes where you cut bits of paper out, they love it.

Christmas wordfinds, christmas songs (mine like Jingle Bell Rock, Feliz Navidad, Santa Claus is coming to town).

And the old standby: make christmas cards

as far as movies go, korean kids LOVE home alone.

I just put some Christmas links up on my site. You can find links to worksheets, crafts, songs and online activities.
