|
|
According to the Korea Consulate website for Toronto, I'll need to send a "passport-type colour photo (white background)" with my application and also provide one when I go with my visa confirmation number. My question: has anyone used a photo-booth (colour, white background of course) picture for this? I know when you get a passport photo you need to follow all these rules, but it doesn't say anything about it needing to be stamped by the photographer or anything. As long as it's the proper size, background, and colour, plus the standard unsmiling/no sunglasses pose, do you think it'll be okay?
Passport photos from Wal-Mart etc are so expensive (13 bucks for two!) and photobooths are only 4 for $4...
Thanks! |

| I think a photo from a photobooth will be just fine. However, they are supposed to be identical photos, so it might be difficult to keep the exact pose and expression. |

A photobooth picture will be fine.
I don't know about photobooths in North America, but in the UK they just take one shot, and you get four indentical photos. No posing anymore.

| You should be able to get passport photos taken at any drugstore-type place with a photo processing department. In the United States, you can get passport photos taken at the post office. It probably won't cost you more than 10 bucks or so, no matter where you get it done. |

| Friend, you need to learn the art of the smooth talk and smile. Walmart may charge $13 for passport photos, but I betcha they charge only a couple fo bucks for regular small sized wallet photos. What you do is smooth talk the girl (or guy) behind the counter. Flirt your ass off. Then get the good price. I got something like 36 photos for $8 at sam's club. |

I called around to a few more places today - the highest price I was quoted was almost $25 Canadian with tax for TWO!
I think I'll just go with the photobooth, and sit veeeeerrrry still in order to take 2 pictures that are exactly the same.

Haha, the flirting thing might work if the counterguy is a pedophile. Smooth talkin'/eyelash batting never works for me since I look about 12. |
