Humanity has been pretty good at organising that without even trying. Its only ever larger weapons and deterrents that have stopped the cycle I guess.

There has always been one every few decades or so, the next one is probably due soon.
This thread brings me to thinking, is humanity's ultimate goal to grow to the largest possible population? We always here how tragic it is that another few thousand people died in some disaster, but the fact of the massive-scale trashing of the earths environment brings no remorse in people.
-reducing world population would be a great and good thing!!!
The earth is already overburdened. I don't intend to have children...and I wish reproduction would cease being the number 1 priority of the world. |
