I am teaching in Ulsan and need to get to Osan to see my friend. I was told by a cowworker that one train went straight every day. I don't know if that's true or not, but my main plea is a website to check buses and trains. The only bus site I could find was the Express bus and there is no way I could use them with the strange schedule posted.
Help, please! |

Go to the tour2korea web site, and look under transport. They've got searchable timetables for major city bus and train lines. |

Call the KNTO (Korea National Tourist Organization) (dial 1330 from any land phone). They will get you an answer and call you back with specific answers to your routing and availability questions. |

Searching there is not actually that useful, trust me.
The thing is, since Osan is now on the Seoul metro, there are only 4 trains a day that stop at the station. However, what you can do is take many a train as far as Pyeongtaek, and then easily transfer to the metro line to get to Osan (20 mins further north).
Use english.barota.com to search for Ulsan > Pyeongtaek (either direct or transfer) and you'll be set. |
