So, I want to get the Principal and vice principal a little something- ideas? Oh, should the gifts be the same value since one is vice and all?

get a more expensive present for the principal. Top shelf liquor goes down a treat if your principal drinks.

I just got the principal (also the owner) a big bottle of Johnie Walker Black Label whisky. For the Vice, I got him some Canadian club - it seemed to go over well!

Man, get the guy (if your boss is a guy) a proper necktie. Some of the shirts and ties that I've seen here look really gaudy.

They love money (under the table especially). Give them 20,000 won. Fill the envelope with twenty 1,000 won and watch them slide the envelope into their pocket like a pimp.

I will get a nice gift for the principal, but since I never see the vice principals, screw 'em (in a non-sexual kind of way). I will get my co-teachers something small, like a box of nice chocolates, flowers, or some small bath goodies like scented soap or candles. For the one teacher I want to hook up with, I'm giving her roses, condoms, dirty dice, dinner and a french kiss for starters.

What about you public school people? What is the usualy routine at Christmas? I'm not showing up at school empty handed and everyone else bearing kimchi.
- When do gifts get given?
- To whom should you give gifts? I have a good relationship with all 27 or 29 people in the office, but I'm not buying 27 bottles of any damned thing.
- What is an appropriate amount to spend? I have four co-teachers...

'Tis the season.....bah humbug.

I only give to my co-teachers. They are the only teachers I really have contact with because my office is not in the main teachers room.

If you want to do something for all 27 why not bring in a large Christmas cake. That is what I did last year.

What a great idea. Maybe a couple of cases of drinks, cake, and a box of fruit for the whole office. Cool. Easy way out. Under a 100k!...I hope...

I work in a public school. I did a Secret Santa (산타 마니또) the past 2 years. The teachers absolutely loved it. I typed up a paper in Korean so they could understand. If you want me to send it to you, send me a PM. There's not much time left this year though.
