Thanks for posting that.
I'm just curious, how do you get them to sit on the floor? Are they on cushions or anything? When I taught elementary last year, every time I tried to shift the desks away in a regular classroom and get the kids to sit on the floor, there was no way any of them would ever do it. They'd just point to the floor and state "dirty" and shake their heads, and completely refuse, almost ending up in tears on some occasions. |

I'm teaching out in the sticks, farmer country. I think the kids have a bit more of a realistic approach to such matters than your average wussy city slicker.
Plus they swept the floor before we sang the song. |

I love it! Especially the moshing!
My kids wouldn't sit on the floor, but as my school has suffered with 40 years of being cleaned by teenage boys I don't blame them!
Hmmm think I'll have to tape my kids doing jingle bell rock!
By the way Mr Rawiri, cute butt! |

| What?! I stoped KEXP for that, I couldn't hear anything , let alone see them singing. I recon it's a fake. How old are they? Aren't they too old to be sat on the floor? WTF was the piont of recording it (except the fact that it makes them shut up for a while), let alone posting it? Jeez. When they do something creative, then let us know with your video... |

Wow!, i'm quite proud of them actually because i teach out in the sticks where a lot of the kids parents can't afford to send them to hagwons. The quality isn't the best because i took it with my 8 megapixel digital camera as opposed to an actual video camera. Anyways, front up and show us what you got schumtzpa.
what's KEXP anyways?
They practiced that for about 2 months, i should have thrown in some actions as well but didn't really think of it at the time as i sing songs just as a warm up at the start of the class.
Thanks for the + replies and i'll have them rocking out let it be on monday. |

| Well done mate. I taught my second grade home room class "Octopus' Garden' over summer and they loved it. As for the sitting on the floor part, I teach in a poncey rich private school and the kids have no issues whatsoever sitting there for a reading circle or anything else. |
