Trolling? You brought up the tripe.
You can have your argumentation and logic. Throw in a MSNBC clip or two for good measure.
I'll just say what I think.
And I wonder why TEXAS keeps coming up regarding secession.
Whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, there's a revolution brewing in the not so United States of America.
Sure, we Texians would rather sit back and watch as it's unlikely to affect us in the long run anyway.
Apologies for not citing a credible source. The Redneck Right Wing Extremist Weekly is experiencing technical difficulties.
Or you could read Revolution: A Manifesto, by Dr. Ron Paul. |

Has nothing at all to do with Texas, Mole. Ya-ta Boy simply seems to despise, hate, fear, involuntarily sneer at anyone who does not regard the American left, especially as MSNBC's Rachel and other related spokesmen articulate its politics, as her or his ideological leader in all things.
The Texas governor and others have criticized B. Obama. Note the bolded print, above. Therefore, Ya-ta Boy must smite him. The so-called secession discussion exists as convenient pretext. No more, no less. |
Oops. Shoulda taken heed before allowing myself to be trolled by Fox.
Oddly enough, I like Rachael. I even wrote her a fan mail last week or so, after she had Ron Paul on her show.
She was very cordial, receptive and respectful.
I did preface with: "I'm a huge fan, even though I'm a would-be DHS Certified Right Wing Extremist..."

I think the cemetery is actually on land the US government seized from Robert E. Lee.
Even though Jefferson Davis was the President of the Confederacy, he was also a distinguished combat veteran of the United States Army. |

Wow! It only took till page 2 for someone to actually respond to the specific issue in this thread.
Yes, Davis was--before he committed treason. Aaron Burr was also a distinguished officer and a VP before he killed Alexander Hamilton. Like the Greeks said, don't call anyone happy until they are dead.
I don't have a problem with sending a wreath to honor Confederate dead, especially as many served in the Union Army again after the war. It's the Jeff Davis thing that gets under my skin.
"Breaking this tradition can and should be done. But the proper foundation must be laid first so that white nationalists, remnant Klansmen and secession-loving neo-Confederate liars cannot turn it into a propaganda coup.
That proper foundation should include honoring Confederate dead in a cemetery where their repose is not poisoned by a monument built as shrine to the goals and ideals of the Rebel cause. Whatever side issues were included, those goals and ideals were constructed upon the "peculiar institution" of slavery..."
