yeah, it's one of the best systems in the world, if not the best.
but the hours are poor. you'd think a city where children are studying in academies until 3am would have 24h public transportation.
a plea to all waygooks - don't forget to give up your seat for that ajumma. we need all the good PR we can get in this country. |

| the novelty of the subway wears off after about a week in korea. i took the bus and subway every day for a year and i couldn't stand it anymore. the garlic breath .. staring ... no place to sit. getting hired on at a uni with a 7 min walk to class was a dream come true. |

i like the subways there. maybe cuz we have no subway in michigan...

I love the Seoul Subway. Only thing I miss is whats above ground when I go across town. One day I was coming come from teaching and the subway broke down. I got off and grabbed a cab home and was amazed at what I saw.
Do wish they ran it later at night, say to 2 or 3 AM but I heard the deal the city cut with the cab drivers was they would shut it off at midnight/1AM so the cabbies could make money on the drunks going home and make up the lost revenue from when the subway is running |

| The subway in Seoul is great. Imagine trying to get around without it! |
