I agree they should be trained so that hopefully they will be able to do that. It is possible that for some reason they may be dis-armed during a scuffle and are unable to straight-out shoot the perp.
If they have a firearm, then forget the tazer in that scenario. Just shoot his ***. |
Come on. A bare handed cop against a big young man... taze the effer. Why should a cop risk their life? |
I think you misunderstood my meaning. A cop should be trained in ways to handle such a perp bare-handed in the event they are left with only that option.
A tazer, I believe, would be the first option, but depending on the situation maybe it could be better to just shoot the guy.
(I'm not a cop but I can envision a scenario where it would be more wise to forego the tazer and make the guy eat a bullet.) |
