This is a crime.
In Tokyo it is worse since the yakuza can strong arm you.

Deal with your credit card company and the police.

Thanks for the information. I haven`t been on the north side of Itaewon.

This happened to me once in Itaewon. Shady bar owner kept swiping my card until the bank blocked it out of suspicion. Something like $1000 or so. The place was dark, and the clerk wasn't able to forge my signature on the digital pad (most of them are too dumb to do this anyway).

I called my bank immediately, and reported my card stolen and disputed the charges.

Bank compared the signature on file, with the signature on the receipts (which of course didn't even come close to matching).

I got all of the money back. According to Visa and MC policy, you are not liable for charges that were made without your knowledge, or without your consent.

If however, you used a Korean card, you may well be out of luck.

BTW OP: either I know you, or the same exact thing happened recently to someone I know.

It's hard to read between the lines about what you're saying. This doesn't sound rational. If stopped by for some glasses of wine and they opened up a new bottle every time, it would be fraud, and I would contact the police. I would also contact my credit card to refuse the transactions. But why wouldn't you do that? Did you ask for a different wine each time?

The lesson to be learned here is that.....if you pay in cash...........you can have a different smoking hot girlfriend every night. And you won't have credit card problems.

OP, you should contact the makers of this show with details of your story. Maybe they'll do an episode at the place you visited (which will help warn others).

Always pay with a credit card at places like that. Visa or Mastercard can do an investigation if there are unauthorized charges. If it is determined that the bar is at fault then the charges will be removed from your account. The bar will have to refund the credit card company or risk being blacklisted so that credit card companies will refuse to do business with them in the future. If you pay with a debit card it is much harder to recover your money.

Meh, I've run into ALL of these in one shape or form having traveled the world extensively. The only people falling for these are a) betas ] or b) suckers. Which is why when I travel alone I'm always joining up with a group of other travelers and sometimes there's upwards of 20 of us barhopping and whatnot. I don't go walking around the backstreets alone conspicuously looking for whores. Might as well right SUCKER on your forehead when you do that.

I don't have any sympathy for people that fall for these scams. There's only one thing you need to know when you're traveling abroad: If it's too good to be true....

Teach the betas a good lesson.

Just for fun, let's assume the OP is true. Steps to follow:

Contact bank.
Dispute all charges at that venue for that date.
Cancel credit/debit card.
Have bank issue new card with a new number.
Don't go to juicy bars ever again.

Baffled by why you changed the title of the thread. You've made it less effective.

Cut up your credit cards.

Use cash when you go out.

Problem solved.

Yeah, I've never used anything but cash in Itaewon, and never carry more cash than I care to lose. Same goes for Philippines, China, Thailand, etc. Be safe, carry small bills (in case they don't give you proper change), never use the card, be aware if you look drunk they are more likely to try a scam.

Details on the "boobies" please.

If you need details youve obviously never gone near them. My ex hadfake breasts and they feel nothing like the real thing. Natural is better.

I assume the girls in OPs story were Kgirls with fake ones otherwise they were Russians which makes the story just nasty. I hope OP at least copped a feel for all of that coin.

I like fake tiddies, but they're a different feel, aren't they.

But nice and fun, nonetheless.

Once again you display an inherent obsession with money in this thread. And your classic ROFL which is normally accompanied by a smiling emoticon....

Is it beyond your scope that 'bragging' about income might be considered to be an example of the need to seek another venue to vent your frustration at being average.

Perhaps you actually believe in your own self importance. But you constantly remind me of my autistic ward, Curthwaite, who mistakenly believed his genitals were free-range eggs and subsequently placed them in a food processor. Please refrain from this activity IPIC, it can only end in disaster.

Conceivably, that is the summation of your meager and mundane mule class existence to date.

Flattered? For years I have been nothing but honest on this site. I left behind the legacy of my family to pursue a nobler path and have been diligently educating the kiddies in this vast wasteland. I have no need to brag and also have no need to extol accolades upon my current lover in any sort of public forum.

On the other hand, you IPIC are a victim, yes, a 'victim' of your tutelage, hoping for a chance to catch the brass ring. I wish you the best. Sincerely...

I have a reason for being alone and single on a friday night in S. Korea.

You, obviously by your responses to my posts, apparently have nothing better to do than post on Dave's ESL this evening.

You might respond in kind and flatter this old Davizen with your attention. But better yet, you could use some of your hard earned "income" to treat your girl to a sarsaparilla.
