That caption on the bottom of mises new avatar is really vile.
Obama/Biden
Osama bin Laden
Coincidence?............... Fox News
Some poster put it up the other day and I ignored it, not knowing it went any farther than some crank's head. Now that I know it was broadcast all over the country....well, just vile. That's all.
(I re-edited this post to make it closer to the original. It didn't come out the first time the way I typed it.)

If you think that is vile , take a look at the latest McCain campaign ad.
http://www.fox14tv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8912513
It has Obama in a crowd shot, with the words "hang" displayed.
Of course it really says 'change' but the ad covers up the C and the E.

Well Pat Buccanan used to be close to Reagan. Now his views are closer to yours than mine.
PS voted for Clinton 2x and Gore once. |

.
Obama is probably a sincere and nice guy. A great speaker he probably would make a decent peace time president. but he doesn't have any plan to gain the strategic edge over the enemy . Negations are unlikely to be
successful unless the US has the strategic advantage
That the case against Obama
In his own words.

How to deal with nuclear Iran. This will do the trick once and for all .

Obama's unwillingness to invest in stuff that really would scare the enemy shows that he is not the up to being a war time president.
sorry |

McCain's 5-1/2 years in a N. Vietnamese prison camp is comparable to anything Obama has been through?
Obama wins by a mile on projected POLICIES.
According to whom? |
Being a POW must be a horrendous experience but in no way prepares you for being president. Am I missing something? Military experience is a positive thing, but Bush didn't have any and Kerry did. For that matter, neither did Lincoln (although his didn't amount to anything). I'm not denigrating it, but unless it is at the highest levels, it has nothing to do with preparing someone for governing a country. The presidency is not some plum to be handed out simply for past military services.

One advantage of having a war veteran for president of the worlds most powerful army is that they may be more aware of the human cost of their decisions to go to war.
At least that would be the hope.
I think Buffet said it best:
The only way to get a candiate who's perfect is to run yourself, and I have no intention of doing that... the test is between two people... the most you can hope for is two people of the highest quality, who are public minded... I think we have those two people, but I much prefer Obama.
That's my memory of an interview on CNBC. The full interview is on the website and is good viewing. |

| Obama has no chance of winning anyway. Many American voters would never put a cross next to a black guy unless it was on fire. |

But more would. Yes, there are still bigots and racists around, but fewer than before. It's my guess a lot fewer. Someone did a poll asking if people would vote for a black man and something around 12% said they never would. Some other people would have lied rather than admit it, so maybe 15%?
It's enough to sway an election. Only a fool would discount it altogether. On the other hand, no need to exaggerate it either.
mises, interesting link. Maybe Fox News is 1% less vile than I expected. |

Yes, but you must admit many people consider Obama sin-laden.

Me, I'd feel better about the man if I ever saw him kick back and have drink and chill ... pretty intense and purpose-driven, you ask me. |
