| The sites you listed are just recruiters. Read about them some more on the FAQ page about job hunting. To paraphrase some sagely advice from ttompaz though, a recruiter is just a middleman and you should thoroughly do your own dirt-digging on whatever they throw your way. As far as I'm aware, the 3 sites you listed are pretty decent. Just cast a very wide net and turn down anything that sounds fishy. There is absolutely no shortage of jobs though, so take your time and don't be afraid to ask tons of questions. |

This is good advice, especially listening to what ttompaz suggests. Also, when I interview teachers for my school, I put a 50/50 weight on their responses to my questions and the questions they ask me. I appreciate teachers asking me many questions, that way they have a complete understanding of our program. I also give them current teachers' email addresses, so they can ask them questions as well. I want all my teachers to feel like they have the proper info to make their decisions, just like I need the proper info to make my decision in hiring a teacher. I want to make sure that the teachers feel they have been told everything about us, so that there are no surprises that arise in the following year. But then, many directors will simply ask you a couple simple questions, and then ask when you can start.
Make sure you have a clear idea of what you are looking for. Don't accept anything less than what you want. |
