Can anyone recommend a nice day trip somewhere in Korea? I live in Siheung and was looking to go somewhere peaceful when we are off on the 15th. Somewhere close and easy to get to would be perfect.

Go to Heyri art community. Take the subway to the end of the orange line to Daehwa and then take a bus or taxi to Heyri. They have many cafes and galleries. You probably wouldn't be interested but they also have a strawberry girl park, with all things of that character ddalggi. She's the character with the strawberry head. hehehe

There's also a Heyri Art Community near the Paju English Village, in Gyeonggido province, but that doesn't help the OP / Morton.

I would suggest a mountain trail hike which is easily found all over Korea. Usually at the trail head, you see a big map of the trail system in the local area. This is a fantastic way to take in the real beauty Korea has to offer and it is very peaceful.
